Dear You by Daisy

We live thousands of miles apart

Yet we share the same earth, same ocean,

same moon, same sun.

We both have anger,

the writhing hatred inside our bones

We both see trees,

their long branches swaying in the breeze,

birds nestling in the branches.

We both see the sky,

sometimes stormy, sometimes clear.

But we are separated by war,

death and destruction.

Although there is something that binds us

together and can never be broken

even by death.

It is love.
