Poem to Miriam, No to Child Labour

By Eliska

Age 9

I am sorry you have child labour,
I am angry that poor young children
Are doing the work and adult should be doing.
I am sad you have to work so hard;
Everybody has to tidy up,
But no one should work so hard,
Children being forced to cook, sweep, wash,
Children having cuts scars and grazes on their bodies,
Children are not strong enough to carry heavy things,
Child labour must stop!
Let’s dream a difference!
