The Bitterness of Waiting by Rana Al Fayoumi

They said:

Wait for a few days and light will come

And the sun of freedom will shine again

We have waited days, and years

And our lives are still shackled with strong chains that no one could break

And monsters imprisoned us

The chains has locked away all life’s happiness

Hardship after hardship

I wish it will change and be

Happiness after happiness.
