What is Love? by Hannah Calder’s class

Love’s the Mayor of Lovesville

It’s a lovely town

Love’s smile is a rainbow

half up and half down

Love is all genders

They wear anything they please

a pink dress, with red hearts, green sandals,

a cowboy hat and ripped jeans

One eye is a storm

the other is an orange sun

Love loves to dance

And will dance with anyone

Love is happy, love is kind

Love is yours and love is mine

Love is me and love is you

Love has got so much to do

Love walks slowly

swaggering with the breeze

They love to knock on doors and hug people

And plant flowers for the bees

Love rides a horse

and throws a lasso

Love loves nothing more than saying

I love you

One eye is a storm

the other is an orange sun

Love loves to dance

And will dance with anyone

Love is happy, love is kind

Love is yours and love is mine

Love is me and love is you

Love has got so much to do

Love drives a red corvette

they fly a private jet

they bake cakes

the best cakes you can get

they have pets you won’t believe

like chihuahuas and baboons

with heart-shaped bums

that toot marvellous tunes

Love knows sometimes

it’s OK to be sad

Could tame a raging bull

With love in their hands

Love can heal cracks

in buildings and hearts

When you let love in

The magic can start

Love is happy, love is kind

Love is yours and love is mine

Love is me and love is you

Love has got so much to do
