What is Nature by Raymond James Punshon

Nature is the air

In which the clouds hang

The leaf in the wind

Where the birds sing

Nature is the sky

Under which mighty lions lie

Nature is the breeze

That’s as if it’s in a dream

It is your neighbour

The creation of God
From the most fierce wolf

To your favourite dog

Nature is not what you want it to be

But what it wants you to see

Nature is like the sea

Wide, deep and free

It is a mastered seed that most despise

That will soon be a home to creatures of the sky

It fills your curiosity

Cause its everything that it can be
