Age 12 – 13
Dusk falls as the shadows lose the outlines of the houses;
The rubble covering the ground;
The walls gone from a family home
And in that home, the last memories fade
As the owners walk to a safer place.
This is not the world that we should know,
Nor the world that should exist
But the one in the faintest nightmares
That are forgotten at dawn.
