Elysia, Grizzly Hill, 8th grade

Dear you,

We share the same stars, shining as bright
as a lake with sun reflecting, in little beams of light.
We share the same fears, being unimportant, forgotten.
We see the sun climb high into the sky, resting
on its throne of light and warmth.
We see the same sun dipping back into the depths,
leaving a trail of red and purple streaks,
like a painter using the sky as its canvas.
We smell the same morning air, with its freshness,
like a cold winter day with glittering snow
falling quietly.
