Looking At Your Language by Tavia

The shapes of your language’s letters remind me of the swirls

and shapes of music, and even though nothing plays,

I can still hear it.

Your words look like jewelry that shines, shaped like spiral diamonds

If I could translate, I think you might be saying “Thank you”

I would love to say to you in my language, “I wish the violence and war

was over, I hope the pain will go away and will not come again”
